
A hostile mob that spawns in dimly lit areas. Drops 0-2 pieces of Rotten Flesh. When eaten player has 80% chance of contracting food poisoning. Rotten Flesh can be given to heal wolves without penalty. Zombies are easy to defeat.

A fast paced enemy that shoots arrows at the player. They will burn in sunlight. They spawn in dark locations or at night. They drop arrows and bones which makes them a good farming source of materials. If a creeper is killed by a skeleton arrow, a music disc may drop.

A dangerous hostile mob that will ambush a player and explode. The amount of damage to the environment depends on the material around. They will not burn in sunlight and will follow a player. They spawn in dark locations or at night.

A mob that can climb obstacles and is aggressive at night. A spider cannot enter 1-block wide spaces. They cannot crawl around vertical obstacles as well. A spider drops a spider eye and string.

Cave spiders are similar to spiders, except they posses the ability to poison a player! They only form in abandon mines. They drop a spider eye and string.

A rare occurrence where a spider is ridden by a skeleton. They are separate entities and thus both must be killed individually. Killing them offers a potential four-in-one item drop special. Attacking with wolves is not recommended.

A humanoid mob that will not attack unless the player stares at them. Enderman move blocks and will cause damage to structures and the environment. By not staring, a player can avoid attack. Endermen are damaged by attacks, fire, lava, water and poison.

A hopping gelatinous mob that tends to form in large open spaces underground. When killed they will subdivide into smaller blobs. The smallest slimes, when killed, will drop a slimeball.

Ghast
Very large jelly-fish like mobs that float around the Nether and shoot block destroying fireballs from their mouths. When a player looks at them their eyes will open and they will begin an assault. Normally when unprovoked, they just float around. Ghast's cant break cobblestone with fireballs, so If your planning on having a shelter in the nether, make it out of cobblestone!

A hostile mob that is ghostly and three-headed. Its hostile to all mobs except the undead. The wither moves quickly and throws Wither Skulls which act like poison. The poison effects can kill a player and the Wither will sap health. It can also destroy blocks like the Enderman and Ghast.
At 50% HP, the Wither becomes immune to arrows.
The Wither drops the Nether Star, which is required to build a beacon.

A hostile mob that is the Nether equivalent to skeletons. They spawn in Nether Fortresses and use stone swords which inflict the "wither" effect for 10 seconds; a darkened health bar and damage. They are slightly taller than 2 blocks and move quickly. Their attack strength is quite high and they have high health, making them formidable.
Killer Wither Skeletons to collect Wither Skulls, which can be used to summon a Wither.

A hostile ranged mob. They fight with splash potions in the order of slowness, poison and harming until poison swears off. Then they throw more poison in the same order. They are immune to potions. They resist fire and do not burn in the sunlight. Use a bow to kill them.
Witches spawn in Swamp Huts.

A passive mob that spawns in caves or large enclosed spaces. They are only active at night and hang upside down during the day.

A small bug-like mob which have silver skin and black eyes. They can attack and damage the player. Additionally, when attacked they may awaken others within a 21x11x21 are and form terrifying swarms.

A mob that can be allied with the player once tamed. Multiples can be tamed to form a pack. There is no limit on the number that can be tamed. Attack strength will be doubled once tamed. Tame with bones. Tail angle indicates health where 100 degrees indicates 100% full health.

An irregulat mob that spawns in the Nether or Overworld. Initally they are not hostile, but will converge on the player with a group attack if provoked. They will drop Gold Nuggets (which can be turned intro gold ingots) or rotten flesh.
Iron Golems spawn in NPC villages and defend the villagers from attacks from zombies or other mobs. They will attack player if provoked, but are generally neutral. They are slow, but have a large amount of health. Iron Golems can be spawned! Just do wants in the picture below:
